Mrs. Willa Mae Davis, 85

Mrs. Willa Mae Davis, 85, of Salem, Kentucky, passed away at Livingston Hospital and Healthcare Services in Salem, Ky.

She was the wife of the late Rev Paul A Davis, daughter of the late Rev Frank (Willa) Peach and mother of Bradford (Robin) Davis.

Willa Mae was born on March 6, 1936 in Elgin, Illinois. She was raised in Mt. Carmel, Illinois where she attended Gospel Assembly Church and Mt. Carmel public schools, graduating from Mt. Carmel High School in the class of 1954.

She and Paul A. Davis were united in marriage on April 12, 1956 and they enjoyed 55 years of serving God together until his death on January 2, 2014.

She served faithfully as a Pastor's wife and homemaker for many years in Lake Jackson, Texas while caring for her 3 sons, Warren, Brad and Joel. In her latter years she moved to Salem, Kentucky; enjoying many phone conversations with her family and friends throughout the States. A cup of coffee and game of scrabble were always in ready for whoever would come to her door.

She is survived by her son, Bradford (Robin) Davis, of Henderson, TN; three sisters, Mary Cooley of Mt. Carmel, IL, Nancy (Don) Lawson of Spring, TX, and Rachel Martin of Porter, TX; four brothers, John (Beverly) Peach of Mt. Carmel, IL, Bob (Leona) Peach of Effingham,, IL, and David (Barbara) Peach of Spring, TX, Tom Peach of Spring, TX; grandchildren, Sarah (Chris) Hardison, Summer (Jake) Leniger, and Amy (Patrick) Leonard; great grandchildren, Brent, Aly, Jackie, and Zealand.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Aubrey Davis; sons, Warren Keith Davis, Joel Martin Davis; sisters, Hope DeLuna and Darlena Williams; her parents Rev Frank and Willa Wisehart Peach.

Willa Mae was a devout, lifelong Christian. She loved her God, her family and her Bible. She will be greatly missed by her family and many special friends. A special thanks to Betty Woodruff for her friendship up to the very end of her life.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Gospel Kingdom Church, 1440 W. 3rd Street, Mt. Carmel, IL. Visitation will be from 12:00 until time of service.
