Carley Ann Asberry

Carley Ann Asberry, 81, of Princeton, Indiana, formerly of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at home, with her loving husband by her side.  She was born September 10, 1940, in Corridon, Missouri, the daughter of James and Lorene (Beck) Kuntz.  At the age of 16, Carley was united in marriage to James Asberry, by Elder Frank Parker, who also had baptized Carley at the age of 10.  To this union, the couple welcomed four children.

When Carley’s youngest child started school, she enrolled in nursing school at the local community college where she graduated as a Registered Nurse with a perfect 4.0 grade point average.  After graduation, she worked at Wabash General Hospital as a Registered Nurse for a few years.  When Jim’s mother was dying, Carley went to her home in Missouri and took care of her until her death.  At the time, Carley and Jim were living in Huntsville, Alabama, where Carley later volunteered for a year as a Hospice Nurse.  Later in life, Carley volunteered in the gift shop at Wabash General Hospital.  In her free time, she was a very competitive bowler and enjoyed competing in League Bowling and tournaments.  Carley was a member of Asbury Chapel United Methodist Church, and she is going to missed very much by her family and friends.

Carley leaves behind her beloved husband of sixty-four years, Jim; daughter, Pamela Asberry of Georgia; son Eric Asberry of Florida; five grandchildren; brother, Jimmie Dale Kuntz; and many loved nieces and nephews.
