Delpha Marie Hayden, 83, of Chapel Hill, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at her residence. She was born on August 23, 1937 in Mill Shoals, Illinois, the daughter of Charles Johnson and Mary Elizabeth (Bradley) Moutray. Delpha married Charles L. Hayden on September 23, 1955 in Mount Carmel, Illinois and together they enjoyed sixty-two years of marriage before his passing on February 25, 2018.
Delpha was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She treasured time with family and was especially fond of the time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Delpha enjoyed working crossword puzzles, crocheting and loved the outdoors and camping with family.
Delpha will be remembered by her daughter, Lisa Hayden of Chapel Hill, TN; son, Terry Hayden of Mount Carmel, IL; grandchildren, Jason Hayden, Jeremy (Shannon) Hayden, and Cory Hayden; great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Avery, Trevor, Levi, Brayden, Keegan, and Savannah; sister-in-law, Gail Ash; many loved cousins, nieces and nephews.
Delpha was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Hayden; siblings, William Moutray, Kenneth Moutray, Elise Sayge, and Velma Lashbrook.
A Memorial Service will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 22, 2021 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home with Brother John Peach officiating.
Family and friends may gather for a Visitation from 2:00 p.m.- 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 22, 2021 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.
