Glen Charles Markle, Jr., 67, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2021, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana, surrounded by the love of his family.

He was born December 17, 1953, in Robinson, Illinois, the son of Glen Charles and Iris Monica (Bolton) Markle, Sr.  Glen graduated from Mt. Carmel High School in the class of 1972.  On February 14, 2004, Glen married Kristine Babka.

Glen was a firefighter for Mt. Carmel Fire Department for 40 years, retiring in 2020.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, St. Louis Cardinal baseball and collecting model trains.

Left to cherish Glen’s memory is his wife Kristine; children Glenda (Glenn) Berberich and Glen Cash (Stacy) Markle; stepchildren Ronald (Sandy) Jacobs, Kimberly Walston and Frances Scott; sixteen grandchildren; and nine greatgrandchildren.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughters Monica and Gabriel; and stepdaughter Tiffany Carroll.

Per his wishes he will be cremated, and no services will be held.
