Funeral Services were held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 14, 2020, at First General Baptist Church for Jo Etta Briggs. Pastor Gary Underwood conducted the service that included a welcome message, scripture readings, reading of the obituary, funeral message and closing prayer. Myra Webb served as keyboardist. Prelude and postlude music included, “Precious Memories”, “Amazing Grace”, “I’ll Fly Away”, “It Is Well With My Soul”, “How Great Thou Art”, and “In The Garden”. “If Tomorrow Never Comes” by Garth Brooks, “I Can Only Imagine” by Mercy Me and “Well Done” by The Afters, were played during the service along with “What A Day That Will Be” sung by Myra Webb. Entombment took place at Highland Memorial Cemetery in Mount Carmel. Pallbearers were Dylan Brown, Dawson Brown, Larry Curt Lang, Bobby Lang, Tim Briggs and Caitlyn Corley. Honorary Pallbearers were Roger Rosignol, Paul Ankenbrandt, Jamie McCorkle, Pete James, Dean Hillyard, Jeff Kell and Tom McClellan.
