Robert R. “Bob” Hahn, 81, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at home. He was born on August 8, 1938 in Holdridge, Nebraska, the son of Roy and Thelma (Jones) Hahn. He married Athena deWeese on February 26, 2006 and she survives.
Bob served his country in the United States Army National Guard. He was employed by Sumner Mobile Homes and Midwest Transit for several years and then was manager of Cherry Street Estates from 1979 to 2000. Bob was very handy and skilled at any type of project around the house. He greatly enjoyed working with his sons on many of those projects. Bob was an avid sports fan, both on the high school level and professional sports. He was especially fond of the St. Louis Cardinals. Bob enjoyed spending time outdoors. He loved spending time with his family and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Athena; sons, Robert Hahn and his wife Tina, Jassen Hahn and his wife Jessica; daughter, Kristy Stephens and her husband Mike; four grandchildren, Bella, Allie, Lilly and Wyatt Stephens.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Lee Roy Hahn.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m., Sunday, July 12, 2020 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m., Sunday, July 12, 2020 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home with Minister Chris Gaule officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
