Donna Marie (Garwood) Adams, 65, formerly of Mount Carmel, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 26, 2020 at Belleville Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Illinois following a lengthy battle with mental illness. She was born on September 17, 1954 in Mount Carmel, the second daughter of Ralph and Betty (Kleinschmidt) Garwood.
Donna was a graduate from Mount Carmel High School Class of 1972. She married Alfred Eugene Adams on September 17, 1974 and he preceded her in death on August 18, 2018. Donna was also preceded in death by her parents.
Donna was a member of Hope Lutheran Church and the Eagles Auxiliary. In her free time, she loved to play bingo with friends and also enjoyed making crafts. Donna will be missed by her family and all who knew her.
Donna will be remembered by her son, Donald Adams; granddaughter, Madelyn Adams; great grandson, Nolan Adams all of Mount Carmel; sister, Alice (Leland) Marriott of rural Wabash County.
Due to the COVID-19 mandated restrictions, we are unable to provide the type of service Donna deserves. Her family will have a Private Graveside Service at Highland Memorial Cemetery on Thursday, April 30, 2020 with Pastor Tom Kramer officiating.
