Lois B. Hale, 95, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by the love of her family.
She was born September 12, 1925, the daughter of Norman R. and Ada (Wilson) Pollard in Johnson, Indiana.
Lois was a member of the Free Methodist Church. She loved attending church and her church family. Lois was a lunch aide at South School for over 20 years. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and gardening---and never missed a yard sale. Lois ran a fruit stand on Third Street in Mt. Carmel called Hale’s Market. She was an avid Cardinal fan. But Lois’ greatest love and enjoyment was her family.
Left to cherish Lois’ memory are her children, Dick (Darlene) Hale of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, Denny (Sharon) Hale of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, Bryan (Leslie) Hale of Robinson, Illinois, Danny (Susan) Hale of Allendale, Illinois, Linda D. Pittman of Oldsmar, Florida, and Deborah (Clayton) Vaughn of Lucedale, Mississippi; fifteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and one great-greatgrandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two grandchildren; and siblings, Charles, Ralph, Jim, Paul, Catherine and Margaret.
A graveside service will be held for family and friends, Monday, December 28, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. at Maumee Cemetery, Johnson, Indiana.
