Jimmy L. “Jim” McVaigh 51, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2019. He was born on October 28, 1967 in Berryville, Illinois, the son of Gene and Glenna (Jones) McVaigh. He married Tracee Tennis and she survives.
Jim was a very hard-working man. He owned and operated McVaigh Welding Shop in Wabash County for the past twelve years. He was very good at his trade and in every job he did, he gave it his all. Jim was previously employed at the Albion Police Department and the Edwards County Sheriff’s Department. He taught the Concealed Carry Class to area residents. In his spare time, he loved fishing, hunting, trail riding and camping with his family. He greatly enjoyed the outdoors. Jim loved his children and wife. He will be dearly missed.
Jim is survived by his wife, Tracee; son, Mitchell McVaigh of Albion, IL; daughters, Rae McVaigh and Glenna McVaigh of Mt. Carmel; father, Gene McVaigh; and brother, Bert McVaigh.
Jim was preceded in death by his mother; and one brother, Neal McVaigh.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a Memorial Visitation from 6:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 26, 2019 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.
