Georgia E. Kamp, 96

Georgia E. Kamp, 96, of Bellmont, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 18, 2019 at her residence surrounded by the love of her family.  She was born on June 1, 1923 in Martinsburg, PA, the daughter of Lorenzo and Edith (Fink) Brown.  She married Novie Kamp on June 23, 1943, and he preceded her in death on May 30, 2011.

 Georgia faithfully served her Country in the United States Air Force where she worked as an airplane mechanic during World War II.  During her service, she earned the American Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.  Georgia loved living in Bellmont and enjoyed taking care of the neighborhood kids.  She loved animals especially her dog Cloe, whom she often referred to as “little brown dog”. 

 Georgia will be remembered by her daughters, Dorothy Orenda and Zoella (Keith) Berberich; grandchildren, Anthony Roberts, Chris (Staci) Roberts, Pepper (Troy) Mullins, Holly (Shane) Vaughn, Shane (Annette) Orenda and Stefan Orenda; great grandchildren, David Roberts, Dakota Mullins, Krystina Roberts, Shane Orenda, Jr., Josie Orenda, William Mayberry, Natalie Roberts, Novie Orenda, Brayden Vaughn and Greyson Roberts; great great grandchildren, Aurora Tamez and Kiara Mullins.

 Georgia was preceded in death by her parents; husband; several brothers and sisters.

 Graveside Services with Full Military Honors will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 22, 2019, at Bethel Cemetery with Pastor David Shain officiating.  There will be no public Visitation, family and friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
