Keith Collin Smith, 71, of Olney, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at his residence. Keith was born on January 2, 1948 in Olney, IL, the son of Orien and Evelyn (Worrell) Smith. He married Karen Schroeder on October 8, 1978 at Parkview Christian Church in Mt. Carmel and she survives.
Keith was a Vietnam veteran and a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking and loved his grandchildren. Keith never met a stranger and enjoyed his Church family and participating in Church at Mt. Gilead, where he was a member.
Keith is survived by his wife, Karen Smith, of Olney, IL; daughter, Debra Hardig and husband Leo, of Oblong, IL; daughter, Misty Scherer and husband Scott, of Olney, IL; daughter, Jennie Ingold and husband Jeff, of Paxton, IL; grandchildren, Jonah and Sydney Scherer, Carter and Callie Ingold and Aiden Hardig; sister, Doris Sink of Auburn, IN; sister, Sally Weber and husband Jim, of Newton, IL; brother, Ronnie Smith, of Minneapolis, MN; sister, Sandy Brandt and husband Fred, of Olney, IL; sister, Diane Hufford, of Acworth, GA; brother-in-law, Robert Miller, of Newton, IL; sister-in-law, Kathy Dersch, of Mt. Carmel, IL; sister-in-law, Kaye Bloehs and husband Gary, of Westfield, IN; brother-in-law, Kelly Schroeder and wife Lisa, of Mt. Carmel, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Larry Smith, sister, Mary Ann Miller, infant brothers and sisters, Norman, James Allen, Charlotte.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, July 14, 2019, at the Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home in Olney. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Gilead church on Monday, July 15, 2019 with a visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Trobaugh Cemetery. Full Military Rites will be performed at the graveside.
