Sylvia L. Lynch, 67, of Olney, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at her son’s home in Mount Carmel surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on October 18, 1951 in Mount Carmel, the daughter of Derwood and Mable (Sisk) Walls. Sylvia married Jim Lynch on August 14, 1993 and he preceded her in death on May 12, 2014. Together they loved their time they spent on Mesa Lake.
Sylvia loved her family and grandchildren. She had a very strong work ethic and loved her friendships she made while working at Champion Laboratories, Snap-On Tools, TISA and Moto Rad. She loved animals especially her cats, Snowball, Shuggie and Smoky. Sylvia will be missed by her family and all who knew her.
Sylvia will be remembered by her two sons, Larry Isaac and wife Ethel of Calhoun, IL and Doug Isaac and wife Michelle of Mount Carmel; two grandsons, Reece and Evan Isaac; lifelong family friend whom Sylvia thought of as a son, Travis Hering; brother, Henry (Willie) Walls of Princeton, IN; sister, Ida Struble of Silver City, New Mexico; her furry grand dog, Harley; many loved nieces and nephews.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents and husband of twenty years, Jim Lynch.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 28, 2018 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.
Graveside Services will be 1:30 p.m., Friday, June 28, 2018 at Highland Memorial Cemetery.
