Arthur Lee “Butch” Seals, 71, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Linda E. White Hospice Center in Evansville, Indiana. He was born on June 18, 1947 in Mount Carmel, Illinois, the son of George and Dorothy (Lynch) Seals.
Butch worked at Snap-On Tools for thirty-one years and he also Kennard Farms. Butch was a very hard worker and loved his family. He loved all things outdoors; hunting, fishing, working in his garden and spending time at the river. He also like riding his bicycle and among he hobbies he enjoyed Edsel antique cars. Butch was a member of the VFW, American Legion and the AMVETS. He was also a member of Union Mission Church. He will be missed by his family and all who knew him.
Butch will be remembered by his son, Jeremy Seals of Mount Carmel; two brothers, Franklin (Risha) Seal and Danny Seals both of Mount Carmel; three sisters, Barbara (Robert) Farmer of Mount Carmel, Joyce Perry of Bellmont and Kathy (Ted) Van Matre of Sevierville, TN; many loved cousins, nieces and nephews.
Butch was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert Lee Seals; stepson, John Wayne Curtis; sister, Patricia Boyd.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 10:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 27, 2019 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.
Graveside Services with Full Military Honors will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 27, 2019, at Highland Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Tim Bobbitt officiating.
