Jeffery J. Maurice, 63, of Bellmont, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. He was born on April 17, 1956 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Howard and Phyllis (Knust) Maurice. Jeff married Paula Nance and she preceded him in death. Also preceding Jeff in death was his mother, Phyllis.
Jeff grew up in the small town of Bellmont and was very proud of that. Being from a small town never stopped Jeff from venturing out. Jeff travelled down the Nile River and the Amazon River. He also hiked the Appalachian Trail. He loved an adventure and seeing the world. Through his travels he loved meeting new people and always looked forward to experiencing new things. Jeff worked at Snap On Tools in Mount Carmel. He also owned his own resume company and enjoyed helping others create a resume that would stand out to potential employers. Jeff will be missed by his family and all who knew him.
Jeffery will be remembered by his father, Howard Maurice and his wife, Elanor of Mississippi; brother, Jandy Maurice of New Jersey; many loved cousins, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 20, 2019, in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.
