Melinda K. “Mindy” Moore, 55, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at St. Vincent Medical Center in Evansville, Indiana surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on July 5, 1964 in Princeton, Indiana, the daughter of John and Mary (Turnbloom) Wilkinson. Mindy married Roy Moore on May 17, 2003 and together they enjoyed sixteen years of marriage.
Mindy loved her family and she treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren. She was a talented writer and would often create beautiful poems. She was also gifted in making arts and crafts. She loved nature and always enjoyed being outdoors and fishing with her family. She was a very hard worker and spent the last several years as a cook at the Road Ranger. She also worked for Rod and Debbie Rodriguez for many years helping with maintenance and many other tasks. Mindy attended Heartland Worship Center in Mount Carmel.
Mindy will be remembered by her husband, Roy Moore; mother, Mary Wilkinson children, Damon (Kristina) Sloss, Lindsay Moore, Dustin (Robin) King Moore, Amber Moore, James (Kenzie) Iglehart, Melanie (John) McGillam, Patrick (Dee) Iglehart and Derick (Lexis) Wilkinson; twenty four grandchildren; brothers, Greg (Connie) Wilkinson and Jimmy (Raven) Wilkinson; sisters, Theresa (Brett Bradley) Auler, Tira (David) Fields and Ellen (Greg) Edwards; in laws, Betty (Donnie) Jackson, Albert (Melissa) Moore and Kathy (Ron) Pulliam; many loved cousins, nieces and nephews.
Mindy was preceded in death by her father; brother, Bobbie Wilkinson; aunt, Jane Turnbloom; sister in law, Diane Cox; brother in law, Billie Ray Moore.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a Visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Heartland Worship Center, 212 W. 2nd St., Mt. Carmel, IL.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Heartland Worship Center with Pastor Daniel Moore of Hope Fellowship officiating. Burial will follow at Friendsville Cemetery.
