Funeral Report-Michael J. Evans

Funeral Services were held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at Community Church of God to honor the life of Michael J. Evans.  Pastor Joy Sherman conducted the service.  Scriptural passages included readings from Psalm 23, 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 and 1 Thessalonians 2:1-3.  Michael’s siblings, Josh Evans, Maria McIntire and Ben Evans spoke of Michael’s life and the impact he had on all of those who knew and loved him.  Musical selection played during the service was “The River” by Garth Brooks.  Pastor Joy shared a favorite scripture passage that has touched the family through this time from Philippians 4:6-7, “Don’t worry about anything; instead pray about everything.  Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done.  Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand.  His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”  At the conclusion of the service the congregation recited the Lord’s Prayer.  Special songs played at the dismissal of the service included, “I’ll Fly Away”, “On Eagle’s Wings”, “10,000 Reason’s” and “Shower of Blessing”.  Pallbearers were Josh Evans, Ben Evans, Jon Evans, Zac Evans, Brian McIntire, Alex Barrow, Sean Van Matre and Joey Eblin. Keepes Funeral Home is honored to serve the Evans family.
