Funeral Services were held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Heartland Worship Center to honor the life of Richard “Dick” Tisdale. Pastor Tony Hodgson officiated the service. Musical selection during the service included, “I Will Rise” by Chris Tomblin, “I Can Only Imagine” by Mercy Me, “Amazing Grace, My Chains Are Gone” by Chris Tomblin and “Precious Memories” by Alan Jackson. Pallbearers were Tim and Sherry Stinson, Tracy and Ron Effland, Rick Tisdale, Michael Stinson, Bob Tisdale and Kevin Marchal. Honorary pallbearers were Jack Singer, Tony Compton, Ed Hicks, Larry Blaize, Ken Burkitt and Art Mager. Burial took place at Highland Memorial Cemetery. The processional to the cemetery included several local policemen and a firetruck. Mike Cunningham played bagpipes at the cemetery while the casket was being carried to the grave. Following the Flag Presentation, Twenty-One Gun Salute and the playing of “Taps” by our local American Legion and VFW honor guard, Mike Cunningham played “Amazing Grace” on bagpipes. At the conclusion of the service, our Mount Carmel Police Department honored Dick with a Last Call over the scanner for his faithful service of twenty-eight years to the police force. The family of Dick Tisdale would like to thank the Mount Carmel Police Department and Mount Carmel Fire Department for the tribute that was given to him during the service.
