Funeral Services were held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, April 23, 2018 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home to honor the life of James “Jim” Lewis. Pastor Gary Underwood conducted the service, beginning with welcoming the congregation and opening prayer. He shared scripture readings and also read the obituary. Pastor Gary delivered a funeral message before closing with prayer. Musical selections for the service included, “I Will See You Again”, “I’ll Fly Away”, “What a Day That Will Be” and “When We All Get to Heaven”. Burial followed at Highland Memorial Cemetery where Jim was laid to rest next to his beloved wife Betty. Full Military Honors were conducted by the Mt. Carmel Honor Guard. Pallbearers were Dean Hillyard, Eric McKnight, Andrew Hillyard, Gary Hicks, Phillip Beal and Tom McClellan. Keepes Funeral home is honored to serve the family of James “Jim” Lewis.
