The prayer service and military service for Sherman Lee Weller was held Thursday, March 22, 2018, at 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Short Funeral Home followed by a visitation with family and friends. Pastor Bailey Pearson led the prayer. The Mount Carmel Veterans Honor Guard and Illinois Patriot Guard honored Lee’s service in the U.S. Army with a walk through and presentation of the U.S. flag. Lee will be buried by his loving parents in Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery in Mifflintown, PA. Honorary pallbearers were Al Morris, Brad Winter, Mike “Ray” Penrod, Gary Chalcraft, Darrell Ensminger, Eldon Nanney, Tom Wood, Ed Eblin and Bob Woods. Short-Cunningham Funeral Home was honored to serve Lee’s family.
