Donald Hinderliter, 72, of Mount Carmel, Illinois passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at his residence surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on February 12, 1946 in Princeton, Indiana the son of Kyle and Eva (Pfeiffer) Hinderliter. He graduated from Mount Carmel High School Class of 1964. Don married Lynn Hinderliter on September 14, 1991 and together they enjoyed twenty-seven years of marriage.
Don will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather. His favorite times were spent with family. Don was a very selfless man and he was always putting others first. He was a very hard worker where he retired as an electrician supervisor from PSI Power Plant after twenty dedicated years of service. Don then went on to work at Wabash Plastics in Evansville, IN for ten years. Among his hobbies, Don enjoyed riding motorcycles and his racing number was # 51S. Don was a member of Berryville Christian Church. He will be missed by his family and all who knew him.
Don will be remembered by his loving wife, Lynn Hinderliter of Mount Carmel; son, Troy Hinderliter of Mount Carmel; four daughters, Kim (Keith) Ayres of Evansville, IN, Heather (Chris) Willoughby of Vincennes, IN, Margie (Gary) Krug of Allendale, IL and Meredith (Rodney) Newton of Princeton, IN; grandchildren, Brittany Newton, Taylor Newton, Seth Hinderliter, Jesse Hinderliter, Brooke Ayres, Beau Ayres, Gary Perry, Beth Pack, Nick Perry, Ashley Krug, Page Willoughby and Gaven Willoughby; five great grandchildren; brother, Harold (Audrey) Hinderliter of Mount Carmel; and one niece, Stacey (Jeff) Boone.
Don was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Hadley Willoughby.
Family and friends are invited to gather from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 27, 2018 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 28, 2018 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Snelling officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery in Mount Carmel, IL.
