Not Looking Good For May Opening Of City Pool

A lack of lifeguards isn’t the only obstacle facing the Mt. Carmel City Pool as preparations continue for the 2021 swim season. On Friday’s monthly “Ask the Mayor” segment, Joe Judge said some unexpected issues have been found this Spring as crews ready for the 1937-era facility to open….

Judge said crews have been busy patching the bad areas of concrete after which they will paint and hopefully begin to fill the pool late this week. He said it’s doubtful the pool will be ready in time for the traditional Memorial Day holiday weekend opening.
