St. Francisville Man Arrested On Warrants & Other Charges

02/10/2019-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 67 year old Lester L. Glenn of St. Francisville after the vehicle he was a passenger in was stopped by Mt. Carmel Police.  During the traffic stop it was discovered that Glenn was wanted on warrants out of Lawrence County  and Knox County (Indiana).  During the arrest of Glenn police located drug paraphernalia and open alcohol.  Glenn was transported to the Wabash County Jail where he received a drug paraphernalia citation, a citation for illegal transportation of alcohol, and he was served the above mentioned warrants.  Glenn was held pending transfer to Lawrence County.  Mt. Carmel was assisted by the Wabash County Sheriff's Office. 

Louisiana Man Arrested By MCPD Following Traffic Stop

02/09/2019-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 27 year old Brandon L. Jeter of Bossier City, Louisiana after he was stopped in the 700 block of Market Street.  During the traffic stop it was discovered that he was driving on a suspended license. Jeter was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was held pending the posting of bond.

 

Impaired Drivers kept Evansville Troopers busy during last 13 hours

Evansville District - During the last 13 hours, troopers at Evansville arrested four impaired drivers in Gibson and Pike Counties. Three impaired drivers were arrested on I-69 and two of the drivers were under the influence of marijuana.

According to the National Highway Traffic Administration, approximately one-third of all traffic crash fatalities in the United States involve drunk drivers. On average over the 10-year period from 2006-2016, more than 10,000 people died every year in drunk-driving crashes.

The Indiana state Police are committed to traffic safety and will continue to aggressively patrol to apprehend impaired drivers and to deter others from drinking and driving.

Arrested and Charges:

Gibson County - Friday afternoon, February 8, at approximately 4:00, Trooper Tyler Widner responded to a vehicle crash with injury on I-69 at the 22mm. Further investigation revealed the driver was under the influence of alcohol. The individual failed to identifyherself and resisted arrest. She was transported to St. Vincent Hospital where a chemical test revealed she had a BAC of .22%. She was arrested and taken to the Gibson County Jail.

Pike County - Friday night, February 8, at approximately 8:45, Trooper Manning stopped Carlos X. Rosario Vazquez, 21, of Washington, for driving while suspended on I-69. Marijuana was located during the traffic stop. Further investigation revealed Rosario Vazquezexhibited signs of impairment. A chemical test was conducted and he tested positive for marijuana. He was arrested and taken to the Gibson County Jail.

Pike County - Friday night, February 8, at approximately 11:17, Trooper Boeckman stopped Spencer Walker, 45, of Monroe City, for failing to signal near Main Street and 9th Street in Petersburg. Further investigation revealed Walker had a BAC of .21%. He was arrested and taken to the Pike County Jail.

Pike County - Early Saturday morning, February 9, at approximately 4:30, Trooper Hunter Manning stopped a vehicle on I-69 near the 51 mm for a headlight violation. During the traffic stop marijuana was located. Further investigation revealed the driver, TracySpicuzza, 47, of Greenwood, had been smoking marijuana. A chemical test was later conducted and she tested positive for marijuana. She was arrested and taken to the Pike County Jail.

    CHARGES: UNIT 1 – Pending Investigation

    TRANSPORTS: UNIT 1 – Driver was transported to Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN via air ambulance.

    PRELIMINARY:  Preliminary investigative details indicate Unit 1 drove off the roadway to the left, struck an embankment and came to rest in the left ditch.

    Stolen Vehicle Recovered during Traffic Stop, Newburgh Woman Arrested

    Warrick County – Early this morning at approximately 2:05, Trooper Otolski was patrolling Frame Road near Bice Lane when he stopped a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am for a license plate light violation. Otolski also noticed that the expiration year sticker had been altered. The driver was identified as Ashley A. Kratzer, 23, of Newburgh. Further investigation revealed Kratzer was wanted out of Warrick County for an outstanding warrant and the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Evansville. A search of the vehicle discovered drug paraphernalia. Kratzer was arrested and taken to the Warrick County Jail where she is currently being held on bond.

    Mt. Carmel Man Jailed On FTA Warrant & Driving Suspended

    Mt. Carmel Police arrested 43 year old Steven A. Beal of Mt. Carmel after he was stopped by the Mt. Carmel Police.  During the traffic stop it was discovered that Beal was driving on a suspended driver’s license and had a Wabash County failure to appear warrant.  Beal was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was cited for driving while license was suspended and he was served the FTA warrant.  Beal was held pending the posting of $300.00 cash bond. 

    Mt. Carmel Man Arrested For Driving Revoked

    02/08/2019-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 47 year old Chad E. Partee of Mt. Carmel after he was stopped on W 3rd Street.  Police arrested Partee after it was discovered that he was driving on a revoked driver’s license.  Partee was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was cited for driving while license is revoked.  Partee was released after posting bond.

    MCPD Busts Fairfield Man On Various Charges

    02/05/2019-Mt. Carmel Police arrested 29 year old Kiefer T. Best of Fairfield after he was stopped in the 1300 block of W. 9th Street.  During the traffic stop it was discovered that Best was driving on a revoked driver’s license.  A search incident to arrest resulted in police located narcotics and drug paraphernalia.  Best was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with driving while license is revoked, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Best was also written a city ordinance ticket for possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia.  Best was held pending the posting of bond.  MCPD was assisted by Illinois State Police and the Wabash County Sheriff’s Office.
