Reis Earns Chamber Endorsement, Named Guardian of Small Busines

State Representative David Reis (R-Ste. Marie) is pleased to announce that he has received the endorsement of the Illinois Chamber of Commerce and has been named Guardian of Small Business by the National Federation of Independent Business.

“As State Representative, I have worked hard to represent the interests of job creators in Illinois,” Reis said. “I am pleased to be supported by the Illinois Chamber of Commerce and I am proud of the record I have established with the Illinois NFIB. Illinois must change its business climate to be friendlier to job creators. We need to pass real reforms to bring jobs back to Illinois, and in a new term, economic growth will be my top priority.”

Todd Maisch, President of the Illinois Chamber of Commerce, says the Chamber is endorsing Reis because Reis has voted for pro-growth, pro-job creation policies throughout his time in Springfield.

“The Illinois Chamber of Commerce is proud to endorse David Reis in the race for 109th District State Representative,” Maisch said. “David Reis is a pro-business ally. He is committed to improving Illinois government and David understands the need to improve our economy and free the entrepreneurial spirit. Representative Reis has previously been named Champion of Free Enterprise and his voting record in the 99th General Assembly was 100% with the Illinois Chamber’s priorities.”

Reis is also touting his record of protecting and supporting small businesses. Reis has twice earned the designation of “Guardian of Small Business” by the National Federation of Independent Business.

“I understand there is a great need to get the government off the backs of job creators,” Reis said. “NFIB is the nation’s leading small-business advocate with over 11,000 dues-paying members in Illinois. I am proud to have been named as a Guardian of Small Business in the previous General Assembly after building a 100% voting record in support of NFIB members.”

David Reis is a farmer/businessman who lives in Jasper County on their family’s fifth-generation farm, where the Reis’ have farmed for over 150 years.
