Browns man arrested on DUI charge

On February 9, 2018, at 11:26 p.m. Gibson County Deputy Ben Kiesel observed a White 2002 Pontiac passenger car traveling northbound on US 41 near County Road 925 South at an excessively low speed while failing crossing the center lane of the roadway on multiple occasions. Upon stopping the vehicle Deputy Kiesel detected an odor of alcohol coming from the driver 39 year old Joshua Vonderheide of Browns, Illinois. At that point a roadside investigation was conducted that resulted in Mr. Vonderheide being taken into custody and transported to the Gibson County Jail. At the Gibson County Jail Mr. Vonderheide was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated. He remains in custody on a $1500 bond. 

All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
