The Mt. Carmel High School Chapter of the National Honor Society held its annual initiation ceremony Thursday evening, welcoming 24 new inductees into the organization.
The program was led by NHS President Kate Andrews and Vice President Timothy Harness. The evening's guest speaker was Dr. Julko Fullop, a 1992 graduate of MCHS and member of the Mt. Carmel High School Hall of Fame.
During his address, Dr. Fullop reflected on the lasting impact of education and took a moment to recognize and honor his former chemistry teacher, Mrs. Jill Stein, highlighting the influence good teachers can have long after students leave the classroom.
The ceremony was organized by NHS Advisor Mr. Mike Glover.
