Wabash Rally Against Cancer is planning a corner collection in Mt. Carmel this month.
Organization President Gloria Reed appeared before the Mt. Carmel City Council to request permission to hold the fundraiser on Saturday, October 24th.
Reed told the council Wabash Rally Against Cancer, also known as WRAC, would like to conduct collections at city intersections that day.
City officials indicated there were no other corner collections scheduled for that date.
Reed was told the organization will need to complete the required paperwork before the event can move forward. Mayor Joe Judge directed Reed to work with City Clerk Ryan Turner to complete that process.
Once the necessary paperwork is submitted, city officials indicated the organization should be cleared to conduct the October 24th collection.
Wabash Rally Against Cancer raises money to assist local residents and families impacted by cancer.
