On March 25, 2025, at 5:17 p.m. Gibson County Central Dispatch received a 911 report of a fight in an alley behind a residence in the 200 block of West Vine Street in Patoka. Multiple law enforcement officers were dispatched to the scene, and arriving on scene Deputies Wyatt Hunt and Eric Powell placed 22 year old Timothy Askren and 50 year old George Askren both of Princeton into custody. Deputies then requested that a Gibson County Ambulance be dispatched to the scene to treat a third person. Once the Gibson County Ambulance and Patoka White River Department arrived on scene Deputies continued their investigation. At the conclusion of the investigation both Timothy Askren and George Askren were taken into custody and transported to the Gibson County Jail. The third person was treated to an area hospital for further treatment. Timothy Askren is charged with Domestic Battery with Moderate Bodily Injury and Disorderly Conduct. George Askren is charged with Domestic Battery with Moderate Bodily Injury, Disorderly Conduct, and Possession of Marijuana.
Assisting Deputy Baumgart in his investigation were Deputies Eric Powell and Wyatt Hunt. Also assisting in this investigation was Princeton Officer David Jones.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
