Domestic Battery Charge Sends Mt. Carmel Man To IDOC For 7 Years

Kelli Storckman, Wabash County State’s Attorney, reports that on September 23, 2024, Branson R. Hall, a 25-year-old Mt. Carmel, Illinois man, was sentenced to 7 years in the Department of Corrections, to be followed by 6 months of mandatory supervised release by the Honorable Circuit Judge William C. Hudson in Wabash County Circuit Court.


State’s Attorney Storckman advises that the Defendant was charged on October 6, 2023, with Domestic Battery, a Class 3 Felony, and Stalking, a Class 4 Felony, following a Mt. Carmel Police Department investigation into reports of physical abuse of and threats made to Defendant's significant other.
