A Mt. Carmel business will be moving after action Wednesday during a special city council meeting. The council accepted the recommendation of the zoning board and approved the application for a variance to allow Soul Beauty Salon and Med Spa to relocate to 126 West Second Street, which is currently zoned as R-4 Multiple Family Dwelling District. The variance for the commercial beauty salon and spa with the stipulation that any future businesses at that location would have to reapply for the zoning variance. Soul Beauty is owned by Kallie Allender and Brittney Wolfe and is currently located at 311 Market Street.
