Wabash County Treasurer Angela Broster stated the date for the 2021 payable 2022 tax sale has changed. The tax sale was originally set for Friday, March 31st, 2023, but due to a publication error, the tax sale has been moved to Friday, April 14th, 2023 at 10:00am. Tax sale judgement date will by Wednesday, April 12th, 2023 at 9:00am.
Therefore, current notices that were mailed on Friday, March 3rd can be paid by cashier’s check, money order, or cash until Thursday, April 13th, 2023, the day before the tax sale.
The treasurer’s office is no longer accepting personal checks after March 17th; however, payments may be made by credit card on www.govtechtaxpro.com under Wednesday, March 22, 2023.
If the drop box in front of the courthouse is used, please call the treasurer’s office at 618-262-5262 to verify the correct amount due. The treasurer’s office is also open from 8am to 4pm Monday through Friday to receive payments.
