Mt. Carmel’s chip and seal work is set to start in the next couple of days. City engineer Dave Dallas reported to the city council that Mt. Carmel Stabilization crews will start tomorrow or Wednesday with the city park being the first area targeted. He said that will cause the park to be closed to traffic while the work is done. After the park is finished, Dallas said crews will move other parts of the city. If your street is slated to be chipped and sealed, you’re asked to have your vehicle off the street this week.
