On 4/6/22, Mt. Carmel Police arrested Daniel E. Dydo, age 26, of Mt. Carmel, for Aggravated Domestic Battery, following a domestic dispute at a residence in the 300 block of West 2nd Street. Upon investigation, officers found evidence to indicate Dydo struck his fiancé repeatedly in the forehead causing a laceration to the area. The victim required medical treatment due to the injury. Officers contacted Dydo where he agreed to meet officers in the area of 13th & College Dr and turn himself in. Upon arrival, Dydo was taken into custody and transported to the Wabash County Jail where he was charged with Aggravated Domestic Battery with bond set at $7500 cash. MCPD was assisted by the Wabash County Sheriff’s Office.
