On August 28, 2021, at 8:40 p.m. Gibson County Deputy U.B. Smith conducted a traffic stop on a White 2002 Chevy Silverado for making an unsafe turn onto Dorsey Street from Broadway in Princeton. Upon approaching the vehicle Deputy Smith detected the strong smell of alcohol coming from the driver 31-year-old Johnathan White of Princeton. At that point Deputy Smith began a roadside DUI investigation that resulted in Mr. White being taken into custody and transported to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the Jail Mr. White was charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated with a Prior Conviction. He has since posted a $750 bond.
