Evansville woman arrested on DUI and Drug charges

On August 23, 2021, at 8:45 p.m. Gibson County Deputy Brian Naas conducted a traffic stop on a Black 2020 Ford Explorer for a moving violation. Upon approaching the vehicle Deputy Nass identified the driver as 59-year-old Lori Knight Jones of Evansville, Indiana. While speaking with the driver Deputy Naas detected clues that Ms. Jones may be under the influence of an unknown intoxicant. At that point Deputy Naas began a roadside DUI/Drug investigation. At the conclusion of his investigation, he placed Ms. Jones into custody and transported her to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the Gibson County Jail Ms. Jones was charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated, Possession of Methamphetamines, and Possession of Paraphernalia. She has since posted a $750 bond.

All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
