Traffic stop leads to arrest of Patoka man

On April 30, 2021, at 12:57 p.m. Gibson County Deputy U.B. Smith conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of East Spring Street on a Blue 2000 Dodge Pickup for failing to stop at a nearby stop sign.  During a roadside investigation 56-year-old Douglas Dillon of Patoka was found with illegal drugs in his possession.  At the conclusion of his investigation Mr. Dillon was transported to the Gibson County Jail by Deputy Bryce Jutzi where Mr. Dillon was charged with Possession of Methamphetamines, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Paraphernalia.  He has since posted a $750 bond. 
 
All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
