Marshall Woman Hurt In Clark County Crash

ILLINOIS STATE POLICE TRAFFIC CRASH ALERT  

 

The Following Preliminary Information is Being Released by

Illinois State Police District 12 

  

WHAT:                      Two Vehicle Personal Injury Traffic Crash  

  

WHERE:                   Clarksville Road at Cline Orchard Road, Clark County

 

WHEN:                      Dec. 10, 2021 at approximately 11:12 a.m.

  

VEHICLES:              Unit 1- 2008 Silver Ford Fusion

                                    Unit 2- 2015 Silver Honda SUV

 

DRIVERS:                 Unit 1- Brenda Fry, 48-year-old female from Camp Douglas, WI

                                    Unit 2- Janess Bishop, 46-year-old female from Marshall, IL – Transported by ambulance to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

 

PASSENGERS:         Unit 1- Alexander Fry, 39-year-old male from Wausau, WI

Unit 1- Megan Braatz, 24-year-old female from Wausau, WI

Unit 2- 17 month old female from Marshall, IL

                                   

PRELIMINARY:      A preliminary investigation indicates the following occurred: Unit 1 was traveling south on Cline Orchard Road approaching the stop intersection with the Clarksville Road in Clark County.  Unit 2 was traveling east on the Clarksville Road. The driver of Unit 1 failed to yield at a stop intersection and pulled into the path of Unit 2. Unit 2 struck Unit 1, then Unit 2 ran off the road and overturned in the ditch. The driver of Unit 2 was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Unit 1 driver and passengers along with Unit 2 passenger reported no injuries on scene.

 

CHARGES:               Unit 1 driver was cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way at Stop Intersection and for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.

 

All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
