Wabash County Emergency Management Agency director Gerald Brooks told the county board this week that storm sirens in Bellmont and Allendale continue to be down. According to Brooks, the sirens were knocked out by a severe storm about a month and a half ago and it’s not known when they’ll be back up and running. Brooks said the service company from central Illinois is unable to complete repairs to the sirens because of not having access to a bucket truck to reach the sirens.
