On 10/11/21, Mt. Carmel Police arrested Michael L. McGillivray, age 33, of Mt. Carmel, for Domestic Battery, following an incident at a residence in the 600 block of West 3rd Street. Upon arrival, officers found evidence that McGillivray had shoved a family member during an argument. Before that, McGillivray had broken a car window with his hand, which caused a laceration and heavy bleeding, although the vehicle owner declined to pursue charges. After being medically cleared, he was placed under arrest and transported to the Wabash County Jail, where he was charged and held pending a bond setting by a judge.
