On January 12, 2021, at 10:23 p.m. Gibson County Central Dispatch received a report of a disturbance in the 500 block of South Railroad Street in Fort Branch, Indiana. While on the phone with a communications officer the reporting party was able to give a description of the suspect and Deputy Brian Naas located the suspect 28-year-old Eric Woodby of Fort Branch walking in the area. At that point Deputy Naas with the assistance of Fort Branch Police Officer Jeff Beck began an investigation into the incident. During that investigation Deputy Naas spoke with all individuals that were involved in the incident. At the conclusion of his investigation Deputy Naas transported Mr. Woodby to the Gibson County Jail where he was charged with Battery. He remains in custody on a $1250 bond.
