The first day of classes for the 2020-2021 school year is two short months from tomorrow in District #348. But a variety of questions still surrounds the start of the new school year, such as will students actually attend school in person or will remote learning resume as it did for the final three months of the previous school year? District #348 Superintendent Dr. Chuck Bleyer says district administrators are preparing for a variety of scenarios…
If Illinois schools don’t reopen on a normal basis for students, Bleyer said he thinks the district could lose students to Indiana if schools there reopen normally….
On Wednesday, Governor JB Pritzker said he’s hopeful students can return to school this fall, it will be up to the numbers….
Bleyer is expected to deliver an update on the situation at Monday night’s school board meeting.
