On Friday we told you about Illinois Governor JB Pritzker saying big summer festivals should consider cancelling because of COVID-19 concerns and mass gatherings. But what about public swimming pools like the Mt. Carmel City Pool? Will it be allowed to open this year given the close proximity thousands of visitors are every summer?
Right now, Mayor Joe Judge says the answer to that question isn’t known right now. He said he talked with state officials last week who regulate public pools and issue operating permits for each one.
