The preliminary hearing for accused killer Ruben Corzine has been reset to next Thursday. Originally, Corzine was scheduled to be in court on Monday. But Judge William Hudson recused himself from the case since he had previously served as the alleged victim’s attorney in the last 7 years while in private practice. Judge Larry Dunn was then assigned the case and the preliminary hearing was reset for next Thursday at 9am. Corzine is accused of stabbing to death his fiancé, 41 year old Jennifer Phelps, at their Cherry Street home on January 29th. Corzine is being held in the Wabash County Jail on a $5 million bond. Public defender James Lane has been appointed to represent Corzine.
