Short Term Lane Closure Begins on I-69 In Evansville

VANDERBURGH COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces a short term lane closure on I-69 in Evansville.

Beginning on or around Wednesday, Feb. 26 INDOT contractors began restricting the passing lanes of I-69 about two miles north of the State Road 57 interchange for a pipe replacement project. Workers will be replacing the drainage pipes leading from the median inlet at this location into the pipe that crosses I-69 and replacing the inlet.

Work is expected to take about 10 days depending upon weather conditions. A lane of traffic will be maintained in both directions while the project is active. Restrictions will be in place around the clock.

INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews.
