ISP INVESTIGATES TRAFFIC CRASH WITH INJURY
The Following Preliminary Information is being released by Illinois State Police District 12
WHAT: Single Vehicle Traffic Crash with Injury.
WHERE: Illinois Route 49 at 2400 E, just east of Hazel Dell, Cumberland County.
WHEN: October 16, 2020 at 10:43 PM
VEHICLE: Unit 1 – Green 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix
DRIVER: Unit 1 – Joshua K. Reynolds, a 21 year old male from Kansas, IL – Airlifted to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
PRELIMINARY: Preliminary investigative details indicate the following occurred: Unit 1 was traveling north on Illinois Route 49 at 2400 E. Unit 1 left the roadway to the west and struck a tree. The driver of unit 1 was airlifted to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No further information will be disseminated at this time.
CHARGES: Reynolds was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident and Improper Lane Use.
All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
