The deadline to make pre-payments on your 2018 Wabash County property taxes, payable this year, has been extended through at least the 15th of this month. Treasurer Beverly McBride said prepayments so far have amounted to around $111,000. County officials are still gathering information and waiting on tax certificates from the various taxing bodies before it’s known when tax statements will be mailed and the subsequent due dates. McBride also told county commissioners Tuesday that the late fee on mobile home taxes went up to $75 on September 1st. She said around $3,000 is left to be paid on those taxes.
