WHERE: On E 400TH AVE E/B 1640 FEET WEST OF N 2125TH ST (Jasper Co. near St. Marie)
WHEN: 08/23/2019, 02:22 a.m.
VEHICLES: UNIT 1 – White 2004 Ford Pickup
DRIVER: UNIT 1- Payton Z. Stifle, 24, Robinson, IL
PASSENGERS: Blake A. Bell, 22, Oblong, IL
CHARGES: Driver of Unit 1 was issued the following citations: Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident
TRANSPORTS: Driver and Passenger of Unit 1 were transported to Carle Richland Memorial Hospital.
PRELIMINARY: Preliminary investigative details indicate Unit 1 was traveling Eastbound on E. 400th Ave., approximately 1640 ft west of 2125th St. at a high rate of speed. Unit 1 struck a steep slope in the roadway, skidded out of control, and ran off the roadway to the left (North). Unit 1 then, overturned several times into the tree line. Unit 1 came to final rest in the tree line facing Westbound overturned on its driver’s side.
