Mt. Carmel Police arrested 59 year old Lisa C. Shearer of Mt. Carmel after she was stopped for a traffic violation in the 300 block of W. 3rd Street. During the traffic stop it was discovered that Shearer was in possession of a suspected controlled substance. Shearer was arrested and transported to the Wabash County Jail where she was cited for operating a vehicle with suspended registration, driving while license is suspended, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Shearer was also charged with possession of a controlled substance. Shearer was held pending the posting of bond
