DOCUMENTARY FILM “RALLY GEORGE” TO BE SHOWN AT BRUBECK THEATRE

“Rally George,” a documentary about Mt. Carmel resident George Beckerman, will be shown at the Brubeck Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 8. Presented by the Wabash Valley Arts Council and Wabash Valley College, the event is free to the public. The film takes the audience on a journey through Beckerman’s early life racing rally cars with his wife, Doris, and tells the story of Beckerman’s love for the people around him.

There will be a Q & A panel with filmmaker John Mofield after the film. Mofield says the film is “really about keeping a natural curiosity through life and staying interested in things. While hobbies and priorities change, the people you meet don’t.” “George has made a lasting impact on people he’s met, especially me. This is a story much deeper rather than just “This guy is interesting! It’s an inquiry into values.”
