It’s the biggest change in registering your District #348 student for school since centralized registration first started several years ago….
That’s District #348 grant and curriculum coordinator Michael Brewer who said parents will simply go to the Lumen parent portal starting July 23rd and follow the steps to register their students. Students entering kindergarten, 6th, 9th, and 12th grades will need to have required health records on file before they’ll be able to register.
Brewer said those that want to pay with cash or check can register in person at their students’ respective schools. The date for in person registration at the elementary school will be August 6th; August 7th at the grade school; and August 8th for junior and senior high school students.
Pre-K students will have to be registered in person due to the amount of required paperwork.
Brewer said the online registration will cut down on the amount of congestion and chaos at schools during the registration days of the past.
For high school students used to lining up at registration to get a parking pass, Brewer said those passes will be distributed once school starts.
Anyone with questions or need Lumen log in assistance can call their students’ school starting July 29th when offices reopen from summer break.
