Battery call leads to arrest of Fort Branch woman

On July 13, 2019, at 9:27 a.m. Gibson County Central Dispatch received a report of a battery in the 100 block of West Oak Street in Fort Branch, Indiana. Deputy Loren Barchett and U.B. Smith arrived on scene and began an investigation into the incident. After speaking with everyone involved in the incident as well as witnesses to the incident Deputy Barchett placed 37 year old Jacinda Tate of Fort Branch into custody and transported her to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the Gibson County Jail Ms. Tate was charged with Battery and Resisting Law Enforcement. She remains in custody at $750 bond.

All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
